Going Google For Rookies

SESSION DESCRIPTION

This session will introduce a variety of Google Apps and provide an overview of the benefits, and challenges, of ‘Going Google’. This session will be directed at Google Rookies across a variety of grade levels and subject areas and includes in-session support for those with questions. Learners in this session will guide the pace and direction of this session and those ready for more will have options for further exploration. Learners will leave this session with applicable and easy to implement ideas for personalizing student learning, streamlining workflow, and ways to use the Google Apps to enhance learning and engagement in the classroom. Apps explored: Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Classroom, Google Sites


PRESENTER BIOS Mellissa has been teaching Secondary English for more than a decade and is a Level One and Two Certified Google Educator, which pretty much makes her a super nerd. In her spare time she likes to play in the dirt, whether hiking, camping, or going on horseback adventures perfecting the ‘technology : fresh air’ ratio. Heather is always learning new things and changing her teaching practice. She teaches Senior math at Mount Boucherie. She loves to play with technology, google, 3d printing,and robots. She celebrates Pi day and Star wars Day.
